We are inviting all disabled people in the South West of Glasgow who are interesred in finding out how their local services are shaped, and who may wish to become involved in decision making, to an information event. People can find out: Who makes the decisions about the services that impact on thier lives?; How well do these agencies/partnerships serve disabled people?; How you can get your voice heard and shape services? Examples discussed will include, Community Health & Care Partnerships (CHCPs), Community Planning Partnerships (CPPs), and Community Councils. Tea, coffee & biscuits will be avasilable.

Citizenship Academy, GDA and the Electoral Commission are running a free conference to explain to disabled people:
• What the European Union is doing for disabled people.
• What the main political parties in Scotland will do for
you in Europe.
• How to vote in the upcoming European elections.

• “Welfare Reform, the new Employment Support Allowance”. Inclusion Scotland will explore how this affects disabled people.
• “A Life with Work – Building the Dream”. The aim of this session will be what services are already in place and proving effective, what services don’t work well, and what still needs to be developed.
• “Tell It Like It Is”. Come and have your say on how Skills Development Scotland can get it right with our marketing materials.
• “ Independent Living and Learning” - The need for learning opportunites to be supported by access to a whole range of services promoting choice, control and empowerment. What do you think?
